Welcome!

For two thousand years Christians have come together "on the first day of the week" for Biblical teaching, for fellowship and for the offering of gifts and prayers to God.   We warmly welcome you all in the Saviour's name today.  Whatever your need, we trust that the presence of Christ here will refresh, comfort, and encourage you.

Gems Counselor Needed 

GEMS is still looking for a wonderful out going women who likes to work with young girls. Please come and join our GEMS team of counselors in leading young girls to our Lord. If you feel in your heart that this is your calling please call Carol Ryzebol at (905) 473-9345. We would love to have you join us. You won't regret it.

 

Genesis Club

There will be no Genesis Club for the summer. Regular classes will resume in September.

 

Vacation

Pastor Kobie will be on vacation from July 24 until August 1. If there are any concerns during that time call your district elder or Pastor Harry.

 Clara will be on vacation until August 1 Please send any announcements for the week of Aug 1 to Janet DeWinter and they will be shown on PowerPoint.

 

Found

A silver ring was found in the men’s washroom. It will be kept in the office until it is claimed.

Deacon Offering  Next Week- Institute for Christian Studies

The Institute for Christian Studies provides Christian graduate education that addresses the spiritual foundations of learning and equips Christians around the world to be effective leaders in the academic arena and in other areas of society.  Our gifts are essential in ensuring that graduate education rooted in a Biblical-relevant, Christian perspective is possible and to ensure that a new generation of Christian scholars will see how they can make a difference.

Fellowship Hall

During the summer months please  keep the blinds closed or close them when you are finished using the fellowship hall.  Hopefully this will help with keeping the church cooler.

AED Training

We will be offering training for anyone interested in getting certified in the use of our AED unit (defibrillator). This will take place on Saturday September 11 from 9 a.m-3 p.m.

Those who would like to be recertified, this will take place Friday evening September 10. We would encourage those that took the course last year to be recertified. For more information or to register please call Joanne, 905-830-1854

Home Stay Families Wanted

TDChristian High School is looking for home stay families in the GTA to host our international students for the upcoming school year. It's a great way to show hospitality, learn

Rose of Sharon

We are currently looking for volunteers for our Young Parents Program in the Newmarket and Keswick area, and we are hoping you would be willing to post a flyer describing this position. Rose of Sharon provides support and services to pregnant and parenting women under 25 in York Region, and YPP is one of the many programs we offer to support young mothers and their children. Presently we are looking for volunteers to participate in our Cooking in the Kitchen Program starting in September. The position is open to any female over the age of 18 who likes to cook and wants to get involved with their community. There are details on the bulletin board downstairs.

Canadian Aboriginal Ministry Committee

Did You Know…that the Aboriginal communities of western Canada celebrate “Back to Batoche Days” each year in July? Here they celebrate the uniqueness of the native culture, the gifts of music and dance given by the Creator, and the hope they have of a future in our great land.

Crwrc

Praise the Lord for the successful Farmer Field Schools in Cambodia. Six groups have already been formed this year. One group is almost exclusively female – this group is very motivated and enthusiastic about what they have done so far. Praise God for the successful applied training of improved rice production that has received a better-than-expected success.
